No Place Like Home

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."
John 14:2

Thank God no human can redefine the home in heaven that God has prepared for those who love Him. Next to salvation, Jesus' promise to prepare a place for us to live with Him in eternity has to be the greatest hope for every Christian. Each night when we lay our head on our pillow, we can have the peace of knowing that tomorrow brings no fear-we either spend it walking with Him on earth or walking with Him in heaven. Life is simplified when you remember that heaven is your true home.

Have you forgotten about your home in heaven? Everyday responsibilities have a way of pulling our eyes off the one who is preparing a mansion just for us. Don't let the cares household chores, and endless tasks make you to forget who is waiting for you at home!

Lord,

You are beautiful and marvelous and I can hardly wait to get home to see You. Thank You for this opportunity to make a home here on earth for the family You've given me. May we always glorify You in our homeschooling and in our daily lives. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Hi Laura,
Nice post! It is so easy to let work and chores take our eyes off the Lord. My how I have had to learn this lesson over the past year!I am thankful that the Lord is so faithful and patient!
Love your blog!
Blessings.

Laura: I think about my Heavenly home a lot. The older I get, the more real it becomes to me. Thanks for the reminder to not let daily chores push aside my eternal perspective.
