I came across this little devotional and God pressed upon my heart to share it with all of you. And who am I to argue with God! It is taken from "Everyday Blessings ~~ Spiritual Refreshment for Women.
"You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry!"
Psalm 10:17
It's easy to feel unheard in this life. Even those closest to you may sometimes fail to listen. But God hears. He's never too tired, never too busy, and never too distracted. You don't need an appointment. He's always listening, always encouraging. So cry out to Him. Share everything with Him - those things that cause you pain, those things that bring you joy. Let Him in on your secrets and your hopes. He will never fail you.
The great thing about Christian community is that we inspire each other in this Christian walk. Haven't you caught someone red-handed in some kind of faithful act, and felt inspired? And who knows how many times your faith has been spotted and someone made a better choice "next time" because they saw the choice you made. That's the wonder of rubbing elbows in the fray together. Faith alone strengthens you. But faith together inspires more faith!

Aw, beautiful devotional. I just did that today...shared my pain with God. I could feel His tender arms draw me close. Ahhh...sometimes the trials are worth it all, to get this close to God that I can almost hear His heart beating...
