Humility. . . . .

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others!"
Phillipians 2:3-4

When we willingly bend and bow, when we embrace God's breaking as our making, when we make ourselves of no reputation, something beautiful happens.  The life of Christ is released in us.  And the fragrance...well, it is intoxicating.  It turned the world upside down two thousand years ago, and God wants to use the fragrance of Christ to do so again.  But it only comes through brokenness, through the genuine beauty of true humility!

Father....give me the humility which lets me admit my mistakes, welcomes advice, and accepts rebuke.  Help me always to praise, rather than to criticize or condemn, to sympathize rather than to discourage, and to build rather than to destroy.  Father, help me to think of people at their best rather than at their worst.  I ask this all in Your precious name....Amen!

I love this: think of others at their best rather than their worst. You are so wise.

Thanks for sharing,
